A Good Time to Make Time.

The late Steven Covey was an author and speaker who wrote the very popular book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. Among the many excellent principles Covey taught were several about the use and control of our TIME. One of his quotes we often reference is this one:

“Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent,

and not enough time on what is important.”

Do you ever feel that way? The unfortunate truth of this statement may fit in our personal lives – or, as we are touching on here, our business lives. In the practice of healthcare, it seems easy to get pre-occupied with tasks and “to-do’s” that seem “urgent”. Think about it. Maybe it’s dealing with staff, doing documentation, insurance correspondence, trying to get paid, paying bills and payroll, etc. etc. etc. The list of “urgent” and stressing things goes on and on.

The bottom line is this: many providers get completely bogged down with the daily grind of things that seem “urgent” – and take their eye off what’s really important – or what they originally wanted to focus on. For most, that was helping people feel better and leading them toward wellness.

In this brief blog, we want to encourage you to pause and consider investing some TIME on something that IS important … providing a solution for a condition that challenges people’s mental and physical wellness, creates dozens of comorbidities and exists in epidemic proportions. Of course, we are referring to America’s overweight and obesity situation.

When we survey providers, it is routinely evident that they all know more attention needs to be given to their patients battling weight control issues. But guess what the #1 reason for it not getting done is. You guessed it:

“They do not have TIME!”

If this is something you’ve caught yourself saying, we’d like to share some news:

Problem Solved!

The Activate Metabolics program is strategically designed to be non-doctor dependent. So, your patients and community can benefit without you (the doctor) having to micro-manage the program.

Let’s also touch on TIMING.

Most businesses have what is referred to as “buying seasons”. These are times when an industry or business sector tends to naturally draw more attention and focus from its target market. As a result, numbers and sales will generally peak during these times. The weight loss industry is no different!

Observation and buying trends in America clearly demonstrate that “Back to School” is a time of people trying to get back into healthy patterns. And, for many, a re-focus on themselves. They have run crazy during the summer months, vacationed and spent time with their kids.

Now, the kids are off to school … and many parents feel it’s time to focus on themselves!

There is NO doubt that many patients in your practice and tons of people in your community are aiming to lose weight during this time! So, here is a simple question:

Are You REALLY Prepared to help them?

If you are like most doctors, you want to help. Furthermore, if you are like most doctors, you want to earn more income as you do that! Are we on track here?

The timing is good – and the time YOU need to invest should be low. Are you ready to add weight loss to your practice? If so, we should talk! We have the science, the strategies and the support you need to implement a TURN-KEY weight loss system right away … still in time for this Back to School season!
